Short answer
Poor mobile coverage at one location is rarely solved by switching provider, because most providers use the same two Belgian networks. First measure which network is strongest at that location and move only those lines onto it. With Netcom Mobile you choose the network per SIM card (Proximus or Telenet) and can move a line later while keeping the same number and contract. If indoor coverage still falls short, wifi calling, a repeater or Starlink Pro for sites without a usable cable connection will help.
Why coverage differs by location
Every operator builds its mast network on its own priorities: Proximus covers rural areas broadly, Telenet is strong in urban Flanders and Brussels. On an industrial estate, in a basement or inside a steel structure, the difference between two networks can range from full bars to no signal at all.
Companies usually only notice this after a move, a new site or the construction of a new warehouse. By that point the contract is still running, and with a classic operator there is no way out.
What you can rule out yourself first
Before changing anything, it's worth establishing whether the problem lies with the network or with the device.
- Test the same spot with a device on a different network, for example a colleague's personal phone.
- Enable VoLTE and wifi calling, which often fixes indoor voice issues without any network changes.
- Check whether the device is manually locked to one network instead of searching automatically.
- Note the date, time and location of every drop, that makes the analysis per line much faster.
How we approach it
We isolate the problem lines and move them onto the network that is strongest at that location. The rest of your fleet stays untouched. In practice that happens with a new SIM card or, faster still, with an eSIM profile you can load the same day.
For locations where no mobile network is sufficient, for example a site without a fixed line, we pair a Starlink Pro installation with a local wifi network. Installation costs 1,250 euro excl. VAT, with data plans starting from 75 euro per month.
What it delivers for your organisation
You stop paying for lines that are unusable at certain locations, and your people no longer need a second personal device. Because everything stays on one contract and one invoice, nothing changes in your administration.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to give up my number if I switch network?
No. When you switch network within Netcom, your number stays the same, you simply get a new SIM card or an eSIM profile.
How long does a switch like this take?
An eSIM profile is available the same working day. We send a physical SIM card by post, usually within one to two working days.
Can I mix different networks within one fleet?
Yes, that's exactly the idea behind multi-operator. Your field staff can run on Proximus while your city office sits on Telenet, all from one management point.
