A private APN with VPN is priced per project on top of your data rate. The cards themselves remain the standard IoT plans, usually IoT Core or a pool when you place many devices behind the same tunnel.

For simple telemetry usually not. As soon as you want to reach devices from your own network, or the traffic must stay shielded, it is the right call.
What does a fixed IP address cost?↓
That depends on the type and the number of cards. We quote based on your deployment.
Does this work while roaming?↓
Yes, APN traffic keeps routing to your environment, also when a device sits abroad.
How long does setup take?↓
A shared APN is active immediately. A private APN with VPN usually takes a few weeks to deliver.
