Backup and connectivity for alarms and cameras

An alarm system or camera setup should not depend on a single fixed line. Our M2M cards provide the mobile backup or the primary link, with coverage across several networks.

THE CHALLENGE

Security fails exactly when the line drops

An intruder cuts the fixed line first, or jams the wifi signal.

Single connection

An alarm system on fixed internet only goes silent during an outage or sabotage.

Camera footage needs bandwidth

Live viewing or alarm verification needs more than a sensor link.

Scattered locations

Sites, warehouses and branches each have their own coverage profile.

Management per building

A separate subscription per building means a stack of invoices.

OUR APPROACH

Always a second route to the monitoring centre

We place mobile connectivity next to, or instead of, the fixed line.

01

Define the role

Primary connection or backup when the fixed line fails.

02

Network per building

The strongest network per location, including temporary sites.

03

Right-sized data

Little data for alarm signalling, more room for camera footage.

04

One invoice

All buildings bundled, with a clear overview per location.

Which plan fits this solution?

Alarm panels need little data but must never be offline. IoT Core covers the panel and keepalive traffic, IoT Max is meant for camera images and video verification. For critical sites we recommend the multi-operator card as a fallback on a second network.

Frequently asked questions about security connectivity

Can the card take over automatically on failure?

Yes, provided your panel or router supports failover. The card stays on standby and takes over when the fixed line drops.

How much data does camera surveillance need?

Sending footage on alarm stays limited, continuous live viewing needs several GB a month. We size it for your setup.

Does this work on a temporary site?

Yes, that is a typical use case. We supply short-term cards for site security.

Are the cards suitable for monitoring centre links?

Yes, and where needed we combine them with a private APN so traffic does not cross the public internet.
